SmartCatch  Unattended Object

Using existing CCTV infrastructure, SmartCatch software monitors, identifies and tracks objects for security policy violations and enables quick response through real-time alerts and instant video replays. At the core of SmartCatch is a set of advanced video algorithms capable of performing complex behavioral analysis, tracking numerous objects and simultaneously identifying security threats in even the most complex environments. Unattended object is one of many available SmartCatch behaviors.

DEFINITION
SmartCatch unattended object behavior detects any object placed in the camera field of view or a region within a camera view. The term unattended object refers to any object that is placed on the floor or on a wall that covers the background of the camera view for a period of time. This includes drawings on the wall or other major color changes that occur over a short period of time. Shadows, reflections, and small gradual changes are filtered and are not unattended objects.

The behavior can selectively detect specified sizes of objects as well, such as boxes, suitcases, or large containers.
